World Cup History

Ghana have appeared at four World Cups: 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2022. Their finest hour was reaching the quarterfinals in 2010 in South Africa, where they came agonizingly close to becoming the first African team to reach a World Cup semifinal, losing to Uruguay in a match that featured Luis Suarez's infamous handball on the goal line. Ghana were eliminated in the group stage at the 2022 tournament.
