How the World Cup 2026 Simulator Works
Our free simulator lets you predict every match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, from the group stage through the final. For each fixture you can either enter an exact scoreline (for example, Spain 2–1 France) or simply pick a winner and let the app generate a realistic result. As you fill in the 12 groups, the standings update automatically — top two from each group, plus the eight best third-placed teams, advance to a 32-team knockout bracket. You then play out the Round of 32, Round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final to crown your champion.
How We Generate Realistic Scores
When you choose a result rather than a precise score, the simulator generates a plausible scoreline weighted by each team's relative strength, derived from current bookmaker title odds and FIFA rankings. Stronger sides are more likely to win comfortably, while evenly matched fixtures produce tighter results and more draws. Nothing is purely random: the aim is for every generated score to look like something that could genuinely happen at a World Cup.
The 2026 Format at a Glance
The 2026 edition is the first 48-team World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico across 16 venues. The 48 teams are split into 12 groups of four. After the group stage, 32 teams reach the knockout rounds — a new Round of 32 that did not exist in previous 32-team tournaments.
